Production Readiness Checklist — Proposed Guide
Planned API — Reference OnlyProduction Readiness Checklist: Production readiness requires approved contracts, implementation evidence and operational ownership beyond a documentation…
Overview
Production readiness requires approved contracts, implementation evidence and operational ownership beyond a documentation preview. A complete reference page is not a launch authorization.
Key concepts
Review organization isolation, authentication, idempotency, monitoring, reconciliation, rollback, support ownership and financial controls. Require tested failure cases.
Implementation considerations
All API infrastructure remains future work. Do not activate credentials, integrations, payments or production database access until separately implemented and approved.
Illustrative data model
This local fixture shows a possible representation for the concepts above. It is not an endpoint response, production configuration or a claim that the described capability is implemented.

}Design review checklist
- Document which organization owns the production readiness checklist representation and which actor may view or change it.
- Test the boundaries of environment, owner id, version, status using synthetic values, including missing or inconsistent references.
- Before future implementation, obtain an approved contract and review failure behavior. This documentation does not authorize production activation.
Proposed data types
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| environment | string | Documentation-only environment label. No hosted sandbox or production API is available. |
| owner_id | string | Stable fictional owner reference; not a secret and not evidence that a resource exists. |
| version | integer | Illustrative resource revision for detecting stale updates; no live concurrency contract is published. |
| status | string | Proposed lifecycle value. Its meaning depends on the resource and must not be inferred from HTTP success. |
