Overview

A base URL identifies the host and version prefix against which a future client would resolve resource paths. Documentation hosts and application sign-in hosts are not interchangeable with an API origin.

Key concepts

All examples use https://api.remizen.example, a reserved placeholder that is not a service. Keep the host separate from the resource path when reviewing configuration.

Implementation considerations

No production or sandbox API base URL has been issued. A future release would need confirmed environments, transport requirements and an approved host inventory.

Illustrative data model

This local fixture shows a possible representation for the concepts above. It is not an endpoint response, production configuration or a claim that the described capability is implemented.

Design review checklist

  • Document which organization owns the base urls representation and which actor may view or change it.
  • Test the boundaries of base url, environment, version using synthetic values, including missing or inconsistent references.
  • Before future implementation, obtain an approved contract and review failure behavior. This documentation does not authorize production activation.
