Overview
Payment reconciliation would compare approved reimbursement records with independently obtained provider outcomes. Matching a reference does not automatically resolve amount, currency or timing differences.
Key concepts
Compare source amount, settled amount, fees and currency independently. Keep unresolved exceptions visible.
Implementation considerations
No provider data is read here. A future reconciliation process should preserve evidence and require authorized review before recording a reconciled state.
Illustrative data model
This local fixture shows a possible representation for the concepts above. It is not an endpoint response, production configuration or a claim that the described capability is implemented.

}Design review checklist
- Document which organization owns the payment reconciliation representation and which actor may view or change it.
- Test the boundaries of reimbursement id, transaction id, amount minor, currency, reconciliation status using synthetic values, including missing or inconsistent references.
- Before future implementation, obtain an approved contract and review failure behavior. This documentation does not authorize production activation.
