Approval Events — Proposed Guide
Planned API — Reference OnlyApproval Events: Approval events would represent routing changes and reviewer decisions as separate facts. Assignment of a reviewer is not a recorded approval.
Overview
Approval events would represent routing changes and reviewer decisions as separate facts. Assignment of a reviewer is not a recorded approval.
Key concepts
Link the approval id, reviewed resource and decision version. Preserve delegate and original reviewer context where authorized.
Implementation considerations
Consumers should not infer that an entire chain is complete from one reviewer decision. No approval event is emitted here.
Illustrative data model
This local fixture shows a possible representation for the concepts above. It is not an endpoint response, production configuration or a claim that the described capability is implemented.

- Test the boundaries of event id, approval id, resource id, decision, version using synthetic values, including missing or inconsistent references.
- Before future implementation, obtain an approved contract and review failure behavior. This documentation does not authorize production activation.
