Overview
A reference explorer can help a reader inspect request and response shapes without connecting to a service. This documentation uses static fixtures rather than a remote Try It control.
Key concepts
Keep endpoint selection, example inputs and displayed fixtures local. Make the absence of network execution visible.
Implementation considerations
No explorer sends requests or creates records. Changing a language tab only changes text, and copying code only uses the clipboard.
Illustrative data model
This local fixture shows a possible representation for the concepts above. It is not an endpoint response, production configuration or a claim that the described capability is implemented.

}Design review checklist
- Document which organization owns the api explorer representation and which actor may view or change it.
- Test the boundaries of method, resource type, fixture id using synthetic values, including missing or inconsistent references.
- Before future implementation, obtain an approved contract and review failure behavior. This documentation does not authorize production activation.
Proposed data types
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| method | string | Illustrative HTTP method; no request is executed by the documentation UI. |
| resource_type | string | Type namespace for interpreting a resource identifier and its authorized actions. |
| fixture_id | string | Stable fictional fixture reference; not a secret and not evidence that a resource exists. |
