Overview
Revocation invalidates an authorization grant before its scheduled expiry. A future design should specify whether it invalidates one token, a token family or all application access for an organization.
Key concepts
Track the revoked grant and the time of the administrative decision. Cached authorization decisions need a defined invalidation strategy.
Implementation considerations
No revocation endpoint is active. Do not promise immediate global invalidation until the service and any caches have an approved consistency model.
Illustrative data model
This local fixture shows a possible representation for the concepts above. It is not an endpoint response, production configuration or a claim that the described capability is implemented.

}Design review checklist
- Document which organization owns the token revocation representation and which actor may view or change it.
- Test the boundaries of grant id, revoked at, reason using synthetic values, including missing or inconsistent references.
- Before future implementation, obtain an approved contract and review failure behavior. This documentation does not authorize production activation.
Proposed data types
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| grant_id | string | Stable fictional grant reference; not a secret and not evidence that a resource exists. |
| revoked_at | string (date-time) | Synthetic UTC timestamp. Business occurrence time may differ from delivery or processing time. |
| reason | string | Synthetic structured justification, not a real reviewer note. |
