Overview
A user collection would support organizational administration without revealing users from another entity. Filters should distinguish active application access from current employment status.
Key concepts
Paginate consistently and use an explicit status filter when building a directory. A display name should not be a deduplication key.
Implementation considerations
Do not interpret an absent record on one page as a deleted employee. Only a complete traversal or an explicit lifecycle signal can support that conclusion.
Proposed API behavior
GET /v1/users is an illustrative design for this topic. Path and field names may change before implementation. Access would require an authorized organization context and operation-specific permission; no public API or authorization grant is available here.
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| limit | integer | Requested collection size. This example is not a promised service limit. |
| cursor | string | Opaque fictional continuation value; retain the original filters when following it. |
| status | string | Proposed lifecycle value. Its meaning depends on the resource and must not be inferred from HTTP success. |
| department_id | string | Stable fictional department reference; not a secret and not evidence that a resource exists. |
Static example requests
# Proposed request text only; this reserved host is not a live API.
curl -X GET 'https://api.remizen.example/v1/users?limit=25&cursor=cursor_example_123&status=active&department_id=dept_example_123' \
-H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY'Fictional response example
Fictional documentation data only. No request was sent, record created, review performed, payment initiated or provider connection activated.

Review this failure case in context: Do not interpret an absent record on one page as a deleted employee. Only a complete traversal or an explicit lifecycle signal can support that conclusion.
Synthetic diagnostic example. Human-readable messages must not be used as stable programmatic contracts.
